Maine Meanderings

I went down to Camden this past weekend. It was a sort of retreat to observe my 70th birthday, a chance to take more pictures in this beautiful area, and a chance to meet some of the artists who get to take pictures there every day. In addition to my coffee with Dan Dishner, coffee roaster and photographer extraordinaire, a high point of my explorations was a chat with Georgette behind the cash register at the Port Clyde General Store. She took a gracious look at our emerging Port Clyde Calendar (photographs by Susan Bell) in between customer surges and promised to show a sample to her boss. All I can say is that I felt I was in a comfortable lively friendly place. When Georgette got onto the phone to take a customer order, I had the chance and space to try the image below. I like it.
